2012 – Kona to Australia

Well 2012 has come in with a bang. Years seem to go faster and faster especially watching the kids grow up. This year our first-born will make it to double digits (the big 10) and Elijah will start grade 1 in School and Michael will turn 8. We have already had our birthdays so thankfully we won’t age at all this year anymore.

Well as the heading says we will be heading down to Australia as a family again this year. We were last all together in Australia in 2010 for a few weeks, and this year we will be in Oz for a little longer.

WHY AUSTRALIA?

Part of the reason is to renew our Visa’s for the USA. This requires us to have our interviews in Sydney like we did before coming here in 2007.  The other parts to spend time with Family, take some time to study and also connect with many friends throughout the East Coast.  Faith and I have been in Full time ministry for 24 and 16 years respectively and we felt that this would be a good time to have a break and spend some time as a family developing together before setting sail onto the next season.

WHEN?

We will be departing Kona around Mid June, please be praying for the tickets needs and the finances needed in order for us to take this trip.

DO WE HAVE ANY NEEDS?

Moving family for a long time comes with a whole set of challenges. Please be praying for the following:

1. Housing – the outside and the inside
2. Transport – Wagon would be nice, be able to drive up and down the coast
3. Visa Process
4. Andrew’s Study and Development
5. Kids changing location, moving away from friends and schooling

We are looking forward to this time with much anticipation. We hope that this time will be a fruitful time for us as a family as well as knowing that God has all things in His hand as we other take on our responsibilities here in Kona. Stay tune for more details coming your way and please be praying for us as we prepare for this season.

Dutton Family Needs and New’s

Wow, can you believe its the end of September already? Last time I posted it was from Montreal in Canada where I was part of training some amazing young leaders from the french speaking world. Thank you so much for your prayers, we saw such wonderful fruit come from that time.

While I was there i met a man from Camaroon. He was a young man with a family who have continutally led a life of saying ‘yes’ to all God has put infront of them.  They have been missionaires in Africa for many years and are now taking the step to move to Canada simply beacuse God said GO. Talking with him and encouraging him in his walk and pursuit to follow the word of the Lord was just a wonderful time of fellowship and prayer. One of the prayers we prayed was that he would be able to come out to the International Univeristy leadership event here were about to run in Kona – he had heard the Lord say ‘GO’ and was waiting for the provision of the airfare to do that simple act of obedience. We prayed together – that was about 3 weeks ago and on this past Monday when walking through the large crowd here in Kona for our UofN Workshop, I bumped into him and he had a grin from ear to ear.  We celebrated together saying “isn’t God faithful”! He has been able to join a significant time here in Kona so that he can lead out where God has called him and his family to the beuaitful region of East Canada. I am again reminded that hearing and obeying is the Key!

Earlier this month at the Univeristy Workshop here in Kona and there were so many stories of what God is doing in different parts of the world, from preschools running in the Middle East to people being raised from the dead (2 weeks ago) in Nigeria, hearing from Steve Saint about mulitplying and Disciplship for all peoples, and spending wonderful times in prayer and worship together, being encouraged and built up by the word of God and fellowship.

Two Needs we have – Partner with us…
In the midst of this our children all start school this month! Wow they are growing up so fast. Emily in grade 4, Michael in grade 2 and Elijah now in Kidergarten (or prep).  Like all parents we want our kids to have a good, strong education and have great schools here that they attend.

We would like to ask you to join with us as they start out their year in training. The need for our kids is $4900 to cover their school fees for the year. – WE WERE JUST GIVEN $1000 so it now down to $3900
The other area we need help in is the area of our health insurance.  Everyone needs insurance here – it’s not a want for private cover, it’s the only way to get treatment when needed. With Michaels asthma and Faith’s health we need a plan to cover us with doctors, medications etc.  The cost of health care for us is around $6000.00 for the year for a standard insurance.

We are asking if you would pray about giving towards the need and helping us cover these costs of the kids education and our health insurance as we head into the school year. 

As we head to towards the end of an amazing year with the DTS and otureaches, leadership events and equiping there is still so much to fit in before the end of the year. Faith is going to Maui at the end of the Month to teach, and possibly Australia before the end fo the year, and my sister and parents are coming out in October/Nov and we are so excited for each of these visits. It’s also the time of celebrations and parties with Harvest Festivals, Thanksgiving and of course Faith’s favorite time of the year… Christmas!

Thank you so much for your prayers and support, we again ask if you would consider our need in this time and support our kids and us in their schooling and insurance for the year ahead.
